The Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) are on tap to get a boost to their offense when they take on the Dallas Cowboys (3-5) in Week 10.
Starting tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) returned to practice for the first time in three weeks as a full participant on Wednesday.
On the negative side, several key players, including wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) and linebacker Josh Sweat (hip) and nine others were limited with injuries.
Additionally starting wide receiver DeVonta Smith and linebackers Nolan Smith (groin) and Ben VanSumeren (concussion), did not practice.
Eagles Week 10 Injury Report Observations
- For the third straight year, Dallas Goedert is making his injury return against the Cowboys.
- Quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley were limited on Wednesday for a veteran rest day. Backup QB Kenny Pickett worked with the first-team today in Hurts' place.
- The Eagles are said to have dodge a serious injury with wide receiver A.J. Brown. While he was limited, videos posted by reporters on X/Twitter showed that he was healthy.
- Cornerback Darius Slay missed last week's matchup with a groin injury, so it's good to see he was practicing in some capacity.
- Wide receiver DeVonta Smith's hamstring is new. He missed one game this season due to a concussion.
- Outside linebacker Josh Sweat leads the defense with 5 sacks, so hopefully, his injury is nothing too concerning.
- Inside linebacker Ben VanSumeren suffered a concussion in Week 9 so it's unlikely he is available against Dallas.
- The Eagles signed rookie linebacker Dallas Gant to the practice squad earlier this week for emergency depth.
- Offensive linemen Cam Jurgens, Fred Johnson, and Mekhi Becton all being limited with injuries could be a concern.
- We'll get a better feel for how serious some of these injuries are when Thursday's injury report is released.
