The Philadelphia Eagles have made a habit out of proving doubters wrong all season. That trend would continue for Philadelphia, routing the Pittsburgh Steelers by the score of 35-13.

What makes the Eagles' offense so dangerous is that it can dominate defenses in a variety of ways. It’s a run-first offense, but that doesn’t mean the Birds can’t let it fly.

Many confuse the Eagles’ run-heavy offense with the idea that the team can’t make big plays down the field in the passing game. While that might have been true last season, the addition of A.J. Brown, along with Jalen Hurts’ timely development, has obliterated that narrative.

Brown got loose in the Steelers’ secondary for 156 yards on six catches, and a career-high three touchdowns.

Hurts wasn’t just dinking and dunking his way four passing touchdowns. Each of his touchdown throws were from at least 27 yards out, including a 34-yard bomb to Zach Pascal. Hurts’ longest completion on the day went to Brown for a gain of 43 yards.

Just because the Eagles don’t throw it deep often doesn’t mean that they can’t burn defenses through explosive pass plays.

Many continue to hesitate to put the Eagles’ offense up with that of the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, but Sunday’s win proved that there isn’t anything this unit can’t do. It’s past time to put some damn respect on this high-flying group.
