Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown exited Sunday's 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars early with a bruised knee injury and did not return.

Head coach Nick Sirianni couldn't provide much information after the game, however, FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Monday morning that Brown "avoided anything serious and is expected to be fine."

Brown had two catches for 36 yards before leaving early.

Running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver No. 2 DeVonta Smith stepped up in Brown's absence.

Barkley hurdled a Jaguars defense backward for a big gain and logged two touchdowns while Smith had a one-handed catch in the end zone.

Wide receiver Jahan Dotson also made his first big play since being traded to Philly at the start of the season.

"He’s obviously one of our best players and we missed him out there," Sirianni said. "I thought [WR] DeVonta [Smith] did an unbelievable job in his absence. We have two go-to guys. DeVonta got more balls his way and he made some unreal plays. I heard the catch that he made in the back of the end zone, and then [WR] Jahan [Dotson]’s catch, my goodness. There were some plays today that will live on in the sports world of Philadelphia for a long time."

The Eagles were already without Brown for several weeks earlier this year because of a hamstring injury and his absence was heavily felt.

Brown is considered day-to-day, but we'll see how the Eagles are handling him when the first injury report comes out on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the team's Week 10 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
