Road rage may hit a new peak in Philadelphia this week. Following an embarrassing Thanksgiving week loss to the Chicago Bears, the pressure on the coaching staff is palpable. With that, a new road sign has dawned in Philadelphia with a phrase that plenty of fans have been shouting at the televisions this season.

Road sign appears on Pattison Avenue pushing Eagles to fire Kevin Patullo

Via a picture from Crossing Broad, there is a “Fire Kevin Patullo” sign on Pattison Avenue. While the Eagles fans wait in traffic, they’ll now be reminded of how frustrating their favorite team’s offense has been all season long, and the offensive coordinator is feeling plenty of that wrath.

There’s no doubt that Patullo isn’t the sole recipient of blame for the inconsistencies, though. That’s how it should be. Nick Sirianni chose to entrust him with offensive play calling and has stuck with him throughout the lows of this campaign.

Additionally, offensive line injuries and overall struggles have placed the run game behind the eight ball. That’s led the less production from Saquon Barkley, who simply hasn’t looked the same as last season at times. Then, comes the passing game with quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The pass plays look vanilla far too often, and Hurts’ tendency to overlook potential downfield gains due to the risk involved. That’s hurt his receivers’ ability to truly change the game, only leading to more distrust in the QB.

All in all, the sign is just another cherry on top of a sundae that no Philly fans want to eat right now. The offense has to improve, or their lead on the NFC East will dissipate by season’s end – along with their chances at another Super Bowl run.
