Eagles fans take their hatred for offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo to another level after finding his home address
Eagles fans have taken matters into their own hands regarding Kevin Patullo.
The Philadelphia Eagles are now on a two-game losing streak. What’s ironic about the back-to-back losses for the Birds is that the last couple of games have been two of the three best statistical games that A.J. Brown has had this season.
Yet, the Eagles offense somehow looked worse than ever against the Chicago Bears on Black Friday. The identity of the team is in crisis as one of the league’s best rushing attacks can’t seem to get out of it’s own way.
So whether it’s been the play of Jalen Hurts, the running game, or the Brown saga, the finger-pointing tends to be directed towards one man: OC Kevin Patullo. Well, Eagles fans just took that finger-pointing one step further.
Eagles fans egg the home of Eagles OC Kevin Patullo
“The New Jersey home of Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was vandalized with eggs early Saturday morning, according to the Moorestown Police Department. The incident occurred after the Eagles’ 24-15 home loss to the Chicago Bears on Friday.
A video surfaced on social media of multiple people appearing to throw objects at Patullo’s home. Online posts suggested it was rocks being thrown, but a Moorestown police representative clarified that it was eggs, adding that the investigation is still ongoing.” – Tim McManus, ESPN
Through 12 games played, the Eagles offense is worse in nearly every stat and metric you can think of. Points, yards, touchdowns, and first downs have all declined compared to 2024. The run game has fallen off a cliff, averaging almost 70 yards less per game, and the efficiency is down in the dumps, with this year’s offense seeing an 80% decline in EPA per play. To gain more insight on how bad things are in Philly, I spoke with Adam Holt of A to Z Sports.
“While Patullo’s play calls are far from the only issue in Philly, they’ve been the topic of concern quite often through 13 weeks of play for the Eagles. A mixture of Saquon Barkley’s lack of explosive plays, frustrating third down decisions for the offense through the air, and regression on the interior of the OL have all blended together to push fans over the edge in regards to the OC.
The pass plays look vanilla far too often, and QB Jalen Hurts’ tendency to overlook potential downfield gains due to the risk involved. That’s hurt his receivers’ ability to truly change the game, only leading to more distrust in the QB. Yes, frustration with the new play caller makes sense. No, this sort of behavior toward his personal life is unacceptable.” – Holt
