Marquise “Hollywood” Brown was one of the splashiest additions of the offseason so far for the Philadelphia Eagles. The speedy wideout steps in as an impactful piece to Jalen Hurts’ passing offense under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion.

There’s an emotional side to Brown joining Philly as well that fans will appreciate.

Marquise Brown grew up as an Eagles fan

The recently-signed veteran wide receiver made a reveal during his media availability for the Eagles. He actually was an Eagles fan growing up and supported them, so getting the chance to play for the Birds is a dream come true for Brown.

Marquise Brown contract details

According to Aaron Wilson, Brown’s deal with the Eagles is a bit of an odd ball.

It is worth $6.5 million in max value. $5 million of his salary is fully guaranteed, and Brown received a $3.7 million signing bonus. Void years are involved, too, from 2027-2030. With those in the fold, the Eagles are able to spread his cap hits out, even though it isn’t an expensive deal, overall.

There is a possibility where Brown is the WR2 for Philly in 2026 as well. The A.J. Brown trade situation looms, and if he’s moved, Hollywood would immediately have a larger projected role in the passing game. If not, he will still most likely replace Jahan Dotson as the third option at WR for the Birds.
