The Eagles ended up placing starting safety Justin Evans on injured reserve Friday afternoon with a knee injury. This means he will miss at least the next four games.
In a corresponding move, the Eagles signed cornerback Bradley Roby to the active roster.
Other injury report observations:
- Starting defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (back) practiced in full over the last two days and did not receive an injury designation for Sunday, which is great news.
- More great news on the defensive front is that Nakobe Dean (foot) should officially make his return to the active roster as he also practiced in full on Friday and didn't receive an injury designation vs. the Jets.
- Head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters on Friday that Carter's and Slay's injuries are nothing serious and they should return next week.
- If Brown can't play come Sunday, the Eagles are down to Reed Blankenship and Terrell Edmunds at safety.
