The Philadelphia Eagles need to win this game more than they have any other game this season. They lost to the New Orleans Saints, forcing them into a must-win situation if they want to have the number one seed in the NFC.
All they can do now is control their own destiny.
But, that seems a lot harder than we think since there is so much unknown surrounding this team.
For example, we don't know who will be playing next week in terms of some of the starters that have been dealing with injuries, and even after Wednesday's injury report, we still don't know.
Offensive tackle Lane Johnson (groin), cornerback Avonte Maddox (toe), cornerback and special teams ace Zech McPhearson (illness), and defensive end Josh Sweat (neck) all did not practice on Wednesday.
Those guys alone are all starters at their respected positions/units.
Then there were the guys that were limited on Wednesday in linebacker Shaun Bradley (wrist), quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder), and running back Miles Sanders (knee).
As for Hurts, he was limited in practice last week and didn't play, so being limited this week doesn't really tell us anything.
"We will still keep that day by day, we don't have to make a decision yet," head coach Nick Sirianni. "We are going to see how this week goes, and we will see how today's walk-through goes."
By the sounds of it, we still have no idea who will be playing and who won't, of all the guys on the injury list. Then you factor in that the Giants could also be resting some players, and it's another layer of so much unknown.
