The Philadelphia Eagles have handed out five contract extensions so far this offseason:
DE Brandon Graham: one-year, $5 million
LG Landon Dickerson: four-year, $84 million
LT Jordan Mailata: four-year, $66 million
S Reed Blankenship: one-year, $3.9 million
K Jake Elliot: four-year, $26 million
But Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has at least one more obvious player to lock in and that's wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
Smith, 25, completed his third NFL season in 2023 and is now eligible for a contract extension.
Philly has until May 2 to pick up Smith's fifth-year option which will pay him a fully guaranteed $15.59 million in 2025.
However, the Eagles' former No. 10 overall pick out of Alabama in the 2021 NFL Draft is worth much more and that is where the extension talks come in.
How Much is DeVonta Smith Worth?
The Eagles are expected to get an extension done with Smith, though it could take some time to negotiate.
But exactly how much is Smith worth?
NBC Sports' Reuben Frank projects the Eagles' No. 2 receiver will sign a four-year, $94 million deal:
"You certainly wouldn’t expect [Howie Roseman] him to go over [A.J.] Brown’s $25 million per year figure. But if [Calvin] Ridley and [Michael] Pittman are worth $23 million per year, Smith is worth more. I would think four years, $94 million gets it done. That would give him the 8th-highest average annual salary among receivers and put him right around D.J. Metcalf and Deebo Samuel. It’s a fair deal for the Eagles and a fair deal for Smith. Roseman has never not signed a promising young player to a second contract, and he won’t this time. This will get done. It just might take a little while," NBC Sports' Frank Reuben.
That extension would put Smith at around $23.5 million per year.
Smith has been a reliable pass catcher for the Birds since entering the league, reeling in 240 passes for 3,178 yards and 19 touchdowns through 50 games.

Howie is always cookin’ something up.
