The Philadelphia Eagles are using one of their top 30 visits on a super speedy running back ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

According to ESPN's Jordan Reid and several other reports, the Eagles will host Texas Longhorns running back Jaydon Blue.

Blue confirmed the reports at Texas' pro day on Tuesday where he ran an eye-popping 4.28 and 4.29 40-yard dash, per Reid.

"4.28 and 4.29 were the two times shared from scouts for #Texas RB Jaydon Blue in the 40-yard dash today. Blue shared with us on @SECNetwork that he has upcoming visits scheduled with the Texans, Broncos, Eagles and Steelers," Reid wrote on X.

Those times were faster than his 4.38 that he clocked at the NFL Combine last month.

To make it even more impressive, Blue revealed that he suffered a Grade 2 groin strain during the combine, and an MRI later showed he tore the muscle. But that did not slow him down.

“During the Combine, I was dealing with a little groin injury,” Blue said at Texas' pro day. “I found out I ran with a small tear in my groin, so it kind of affected the way I ran, like I wanted to, or push off. So for me to come out healthy and be able to showcase what I can really do out here, it’s a good feeling.”

Blue enters the draft after logging 730 yards with eight touchdowns on 134 carries in 2024, averaging 5.4 per carry. He also hauled in 42 passes for additional 368 yards and six scores.

The Eagles, of course, have Saquon Barkley as their bell cow, but after losing Kenneth Gainwell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in NFL free agency, they will be on the search for another quality backup.

That's what Blue does best as he spent last year taking carries behind Texas star running back Tre Wisner.

Despite his incredible speed and playmaking potential, Blue is considered a late-round draft pick due to his overall blocking skills and ability to break tackles.
