If there was any question before this offseason, it might be pretty hard to argue it after the 2023 NFL Draft. Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is the best of the best at his position.

There isn't a better general manager in the league right now. From the way Roseman has built a roster, to free agency, draft picks, and the retention of the face of the franchise at quarterback, Roseman has done no wrong.

Philly has been dominant in every way that matters from a roster construction standpoint. Every bit of that is due to having the Eagles having the best GM in the business and giving him the opportunity to dominate his competition, just like the team did on the field for most of 2022.

Roseman has shown his immense talent in almost every possible way. The Hurts contract allows for flexibility for the team and the ability to go all-in now. The draft picks maximize value in a way that no other team could hope to achieve. Every major position has been addressed to fit the modern NFL.

The Eagles have two top corners, two top wide receiver, an excellent offensive line, one of the most dangerous pass rush units in the league, and they made it to a Super Bowl with a quarterback on a rookie contract.

These are all the signs of a general manager that is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.

The other stellar part about Roseman as a GM is that he didn't just construct a team to go for the Super Bowl in 2022. In fact, that dominant team that made it within a few plays of hoisting the Lombardi again has gotten far better due to some savvy moves by Roseman in areas like the draft and free agency.

Eagles fans have it good. Not only do they have one of the best rosters in the league and an obvious path back to the Super Bowl, but they also have someone in the front office that will ensure this team keeps doing that same thing for a long time to come.

There is a fair argument that exists that Howie Roseman is one of the most valuable Eagles right now. Philly is lucky.
