Philadelphia Eagles starting safety Reed Blankenship exited Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys early in the second quarter.

Blankenship was slow to get up after tackling Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson.

Trainers helped him off of the field and into the medical tent.

Soon after, he headed to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion.

Blankenship had three tackles before leaving.

As the team's leading tackler, Blankenship's potential injury is a huge loss for the Eagles' defense.

Backup safety Sydney Brown stepped up in his absence.

The Eagles have struggled on both sides of the ball and are trailing 17-3.
