Star Georgia defender Jalen Carter has seen his name in the media for some bad reasons and some strange ones over the past month.
While his draft stock hasn't gone down too much, a recent report regarding his desire to only speak with teams with top-ten picks (ending with the Philadelphia Eagles) comes as a bit of a surprise.
Sure, it makes sense that Carter sees himself as a top-ten pick and doesn't plan on sliding, but some have wondered how this impacts his chances of having a team trade up to select him earlier than their initial pick.
In an effort to get past all of their strange circumstances surrounding this topic, Daniel Jeremiah has an educated guess that Eagles fans should love.
Jeremiah's guess that Carter is holding off on additional interviews based on guarantees from the Eagles makes a ton of sense.
The Eagles pick tenth, which would be a massive slide for Carter, and they always like adding pieces on defense, especially the line.
Why on Earth would they pass on Carter if he was available at ten?
Also, this guess makes a lot of sense for Carter as well based on the fact that it could improve his chances of landing with a team that is in contention for the Super Bowl.
The Eagles (and Carter) would have to get very lucky on draft night, but something like this is very possible when you think about it.
