The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers in a much-anticipated quarterback duel between Jalen Hurts and Aaron Rodgers. But, the way Hurts mentioned the Hall of Fame quarterback on the opposite sideline should tell you everything you need to know about how important that win was.

Hurts is special, and I don't think anyone in the Eagles organization or any fan thought in his second year of being a full-time starter, he would have MVP performances against one of the best to ever do it.

To Hurts, Rodgers is the best to ever do it.

"I got the GOAT. We got the GOAT," Hurts said in a post-game interview.

He then went on to say how he hopes Rodgers is healthy as he did suffer an injury late in the game. Also, for those of you who don't know, GOAT is an acronym for Greatest of All Time.

That's bold for Hurts to say about Rodgers, and he isn't the only guy who would say that. While most think Tom Brady is the greatest of all time, there are plenty of guys who feel that way about Rodgers.

That phrase right there should show you how much this game meant to Hurts. He wanted this win, and he wanted to go against the best. And not only did he go against him, he beat him.

"That's who Jalen is, and he doesn't shy away from the moment," head coach Nick Sirianni said after the game when asked about the matchup.

Hurts is showing the intangibles that those greats have. He wants to beat the best. He thinks Rodgers is the best, and he beat him.

This game was Hurts' to lose, as his name was written all over it, and it was one that gave him a boost in the MVP conversation for sure. Especially because he beat the "GOAT."
