Philadelphia Eagle beloved center Jason Kelce has not ruled out returning in 2024, but he also hasn't ruled out retiring.
In fact, there have been several hints dropped over the last month that have many believing Kelce won't be back, including his Eagles teammate Jordan Mailate.
“There’s no shot,” Mailata told NBC Sports Philadelphia during Super Bowl LVIII week. “You’re telling me he’s going shirts off in the games, gambling in the casinos, he’s coming back? No way. He’s having too much fun. He’s out there living his life. And I’m going to miss him for sure, man. This has been the greatest six years of my life for sure, being here in the NFL and getting to meet people like Jason Kelce.”
Kelce has gone all out in recent weeks, showing off his "dad bod" at the NFC Championship and living it up in Las Vegas following his brother's Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
While Kelce is certainly living his "best life" like Mailata said, he remains up in the air about his retirement decision.
He did recently hop on The Big Podcast with Shaq and told Shaquille O'Neal that he will have an answer "in the next coming weeks."
But he also said the Eagles' 32-9 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was still too "fresh" and that he needed some time to "recoup."
Fans will just have to keep waiting until he makes up his mind, and hopefully, his final decision proves Mailata wrong.
