The Philadelphia Eagles announced a roster move on Monday evening following their 24-19 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

The team moved on from veteran wide receiver Parris Campbell after signing him to the active roster for one game.

Campbell played 28 offensive snaps and was targeted just once in the victory.

Don't be surprised if Campbell ends up back on the Eagles' practice squad where he's been since the start of the season. He's appeared in five games for the Birds this year, catching six passes for 30 yards and one touchdown.

It's a good sign that the Eagles waived Campbell because it could mean No. 2 wide receiver DeVonta Smith is on the mend.

Smith has missed the last two weeks with a lingering hamstring injury.

Even after missing three total games so far this year, Smith leads the receiving room behind only A.J. Brown with 514 yards and four touchdowns.

While Smith's presence has been missed, the Eagles have found ways to make up for his absence by leaning on tight end Dallas Goedert.

The Eagles take on the 3-9 Carolina Panthers at home this Sunday, so ideally, Smith could take his time with his return and miss that game too without any concern. However, it's always better to have the core starters available in the lineup in case things do go south.

We'll see what Wednesday's practice report brings.
