Saquon Barkley spent six seasons with the New York Giants before he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in NFL free agency.

The departure from New York was an overall ugly and disrespectful one, which was revealed during a "Hard Knocks" episode back in July

But despite finding out what really went down behind the scenes with how the Giants' front office treated Barkley, New York fans are still taking it out on their former star running back.

During his return to MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Barkley passed by fans burning his jersey.

Other Giants fans were seen wearing Barkleys old jersey out of hate and that is what sparked Eagles legend Jason Kelce to collectively call out New York fans.

"For the life of me, I don’t understand why Giants fans hate Saquon for what happened, and not the Giants organization for the fact he is an Eagle," Kelce wrote on X/Twitter. "They have absolutely no one to blame other than the Giants ownership and management decisions for why he is no longer a Giant. Obviously understand their hate of the Eagles, and desire for him not to succeed, just very odd this energy is directed at him more so than the organization…"

Kelce admitted that he understands why fans aren't happy with him joining the rival team, but blaming him for how things ended in New York is unnecessary.

"Understand the hate for him going to the Eagles and that you’ll root against him, there’s tons of guys though that have played with one NFC East team and then ended up playing for another," Kelce added in another tweet. "Still feel like this situation is majorities at the hands of the Giants themselves."

While the hate for Barkley from Giants fans is so strong, he's done a good job of blocking out the noise.

With Kelce's message out there, the hope now is that Giants fans stop putting the blame on Barkley for ultimately choosing the team that saw his worth.
