The Philadelphia Eagles are already making a Dallas Cowboys defender look dumb after their phenomenal first half.
Some of you may remember, some of you may not, or just didn't care, but the Cowboys were trash-talking all week leading up to this game. In particular, it was DeMarcus Lawrence, and he is already looking bad, and will probably regret what he said.
If you don't remember what he said, here are a few of his quotes.
“Has he played us?” Cowboys’ defender DeMarcus Lawrence asked after he was asked about how well Hurts has played. “All right. “All you need to write is he hasn’t played the Cowboys yet, so we don’t know how good he is… But also, we Dem Boys,” Lawrence said “Remember that. Don’t worry about it. “Y’all will see it on Sunday.”
Lawrence was done being asked about Hurts and said this.
“How about this,” Lawrence said. “This is the last question I’ll hear about Hurts. For real, though. Because I really don’t care.”
Then, the two-time Pro Bowler was asked about the Eagles’ offense overall.
“You know, you’re asking me questions like I should be worried about them,” Lawrence replied. “Never worried, never scared, never quivering from any situation. I just want y’all to understand we’re coming to play, too.”
If you can't tell, he was answering everything with a bit of attitude. It was almost as if he wanted attention. Then, it hit me. He does play for the Cowboys.
No, seriously though, the Eagles dominated the Cowboys in the first half. They have dominated nearly every statistical category possible. The Eagles allowed just 81 total yards in the first half, with 28 of it passing and 45 of it on the ground. The Eagles ran 42 total plays to the Cowboys' 26, just little things like that.
This game was dominated by the Eagles, and they are making Lawrence look dumb for his comments prior to the game.
