The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a devastating last-second loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.
While the world may seem on fire, there is still plenty of hope going into next season.
Even in the defeat, Jalen Hurts cemented his legacy in the NFL history books with an unforgettable first-half performance. With his play, Hurts proved why he is the franchise quarterback moving forward.
After the loss, the media had a range of responses to the Eagles' second-half collapse. However, Adam Schein may have come out with the most important message for Eagles fans, and critics
Jalen Hurts, on the biggest stage, arguably outdueled the best quarterback in the NFL. Adam Schein, NFL Journalist and host of Schein on Sports, seconded the sentiment.
"Look, I don't think it's a hot take, I'm not wearing oven mitts but Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes," Schein said on air.
During his segment, Schein further elaborated on what kind of quarterback the Philadelphia Eagles have at the helm.
Schein highlighted just how special Jalen Hurts is, and that the Eagles finally have their franchise quarterback. The leaps and bounds the talented young quarterback has made in a short amount of time are nothing short of incredible.
Schein sent a message to anyone who may be critical of Hurts moving forward: "If anybody doubted Jalen Hurts, I never want to hear that again. Jalen Hurts is a special ballplayer."
Rounding out his segment, Schein sent a message to the Philadelphia faithful. While it won't erase the pain of last night's loss, it's an encouraging statement for the team's future.
"Make no mistake, and last night was proof, the Philadelphia Eagles have their quarterback. Jalen Hurts is special."
Getting back to the Super Bowl isn't easy, but with Jalen Hurts leading this team, we like their chances.
