The Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Dallas Cowboys, as we all know by now. However, and I know I'm not in the minority when I say I can't help but feel if Jalen Hurts plays that game, the Eagles win.

That isn't a slight at Gardner Minshew, at all, either. He actually played incredibly well. No, it is just that Hurts is an MVP candidate for a reason. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Because the Eagles couldn't get the job done against the Cowboys, they didn't clinch, and must once again play their starters against the Saints. That includes Jalen Hurts.

"We know how much he wanted to play last week and how much he did to get his body ready. …He's going to do everything he can do to get himself healthy. If he's healthy, he'll play," head coach Nick Sirianni said.

There has been some suspicion as to whether or not the Eagles would play Hurts regardless of whether him being healthy or not. Yes, they need him for this next game if they want to clinch, but there are certainly reasons why they wouldn't play him, even if he was healthy.

I can see them sitting Hurts so he has rested and is as healthy as possible in time for the playoffs. Minshew played well enough that he could start two more games for this team and probably walk away with wins in both because of how good this team is.

Also, I think t wouldn't hurt to sit Hurts against the Saints because, well, it is the Saints, who have been bad this year, to say the least.

Then again, the Saints are still vying for a playoff spot and could bring their best.

Either way, now we know per Sirianni, that if Hurts is healthy, he's getting out there.
