The Philadelphia Eagles will be without defensive end Bryce Huff for a few weeks.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed on Wednesday that Huff is expected to miss some time after having surgery on his wrist, which is scheduled for Thursday.

"He had really done a good job of battling through but this will hopefully help get him some more function in that hand and we’ll see as the season continues," Sirianni said. "I just can’t say enough of how he battled through and tried to keep going through it. Hopefully, this helps him."

Huff had previously been playing through the injury with a cast on his wrist.

The Eagles signed Huff to a three-year, $51.1 million deal in free agency with hopes of him filling the void left by Haason Reddick. That, however, has not been the case. Huff has racked up just 10 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble through 10 games this season.

With Huff sidelined, the Eagles are in perfectly good shape thanks to the overall combined production from Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith, and Brandon Graham.

Sirianni also hinted at the possibility of rookie Jalyx Hunt getting more playing time in place of Huff.

"We obviously drafted Jalyx because we liked his skillset," Sirianni said. "Jalyx has been doing a lot of good things on special teams. We’ll see how those reps get divvied up. This week will tell a lot."

Hunt, who has seen action in nine games on limited snaps so far this season, currently has three tackles, one sack, and a pass defended.

The Eagles are looking to hold onto a six-game win streak when they take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12 at SoFi Stadium.
