Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni addresses the media on Monday following Week 13's loss to 49ers.

Things escalated on the sidelines during the Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers matchup on Sunday.

Eagles' head of security Dom DiSandro shared some words with Niners' linebacker Dre Greenlaw that resulted in both of them getting ejected from the game moments later.

Videos of the heated scuffle went viral, which caused an uproar from both NFL fan bases.

After the game, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni apologized to Niners' head coach Kyle Shanahan for what had happened.

And on Monday afternoon, Sirianni addressed the situation again, this time sticking up for Big Dom.

"Dom is as good as they get in this business,” Sirianni said during his press conference. “I’m so thankful for him. He is always going to try to defuse situations. That’s what he does, that’s his job. Obviously, unfortunate yesterday. I know in Dom’s heart he truly was trying to defuse the situation right there. I am sad it came to what it came to that anybody got thrown out of the game.”

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL is reviewing the incident and plans to follow up with the Eagles later this week.

That likely means that there will be further punishment for DiSandro.
