The Philadelphia Eagles' divisional round opponent came down to the winner of Monday night's wild card matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams.

Following a sloppy performance from the Vikings resulting in a 27-9 loss, it's officially the Rams that the Eagles will face in the next round.

And that is great news if you're Nick Sirianni and the Eagles.

Under Sirianni, the Eagles are 2-0 against Sean McVay and the Rams.

As if it doesn't get any better than that, both wins happened on the road in LA and were won by two possessions or more. The Eagles will host the Rams at the Linc this time.

Philly most recently faced the Rams in Week 12 of the 2024 regular season, winning 37-20.

Running back Saquon Barkley had a heyday against LA's rush defense and ran for a Philly franchise-record 255 yards and two scores. Additionally, Jalen Hurts' top target A.J. Brown had one of his best games of the season against the Rams as he hauled in six passes for 109 yards and one touchdown.

Overall, the Eagles outgained LA by 191 yards (481 total yards to 290 total yards).

The Rams' defense has since looked better at stopping the run, however, keeping Barkley contained is a lot more difficult than stopping your average running back.

And just like the Rams, the Eagles have improved in several areas as well, which is why they enter this matchup as six-point favorites.

The Eagles-Rams divisional round game kicks off this Sunday, Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.
