The Philadelphia Eagles were once 10-1 and in control of the NFC East and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, but that's no longer the case.

After losing 35-31 to the Arizona Cardinals (4-12) on Sunday, the Eagles are 11-5 and barely hanging on to the NFC East title while losing the top seed and No. 2 seed altogether.

With the Eagles' loss, the San Francisco 49ers officially clinch the No. 1 seed and the Dallas Cowboys can win the NFC East by beating the Washington Commanders in Week 18.

The Eagles fall to the No. 5 seed.

There's no doubt that this was the worst loss of the season for the Eagles as they blew a 15-point lead after the half.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 18 of 23 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns and an interception. Running back D'Andre Swift had 61 yards on 13 carries while wideout A.J. Brown logged 53 yards on four catches, but neither one of them could find the endzone.

Veteran wide receiver Julio Jones reeled in two touchdowns and tight end Dallas Goedert caught the third TD pass from Hurts. Rookie safety Sydney Brown also returned an interception for a 99-yard touchdown.

[Sydney] Brown's pick-six was the only bright spot on the Eagles' defense that gave up 29 points in the second half alone. In total, the Birds surrendered 449 yards and 32 first downs.

For the second week in a row, [A.J.] Brown declined to speak to the media.

"Ain't nothing to say", he said.

And he's not wrong.

The Eagles will take on the New York Giants for their final matchup.
