The Carolina Panthers are on the search for their next head coach (again) and will interview Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Johnson finished his third season with the Eagles and first season as an NFL offensive coordinator. Under Johnson, the Eagles enter the post-season ranked seventh in scoring (25.5 PPG) and eighth in yards per game (354.4 YPG).

Before this season, Johnson was the Eagles' quarterbacks coach for two years, playing a pivotal role in Jalen Hurts' overall development.

While things haven't been consistent for the Eagles offense, there are still a lot of positive takeaways from the Eagles' 10-1 start to the 2023 season.

Hurts became the first NFL quarterback to rush for 15 touchdowns in a single season, despite battling a knee injury. Running back D'Andre Swift logged his first 1,000-yard campaign. And A.J. Brown became the first wide receiver in NFL history to record at least 125 receiving yards in six straight games.

What happened in the Eagles' final six games won't look too good on Johnson's resume, but a lot of that also had to do with how the Eagles' defense played.

Johnson will focus on coaching the Eagles through the playoffs before officially sitting down with Carolina.
