Eagles' Pro Bowler just experienced something he has never gone through before

The Philadelphia Eagles had the best pass rush this season and it wasn't even close. Literally, they were a few sacks short of breaking the all-time record for sacks in a season by a team.
A big reason why is because of their star defensive end Haason Reddick, who just did something for the first time in his career.
As we all know, the NFL gives out awards every week for the best defender or offensive player in each conference, and Reddick was lucky enough to win it for Week 18.
This was not only his first time this season receiving the honor, but the first time in his entire career.
Per NFL Communications:
Reddick led all players with eight sacks and added five tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery from Weeks 13-18. He was the only player with multiple sacks in three games over the final six weeks of the season. This is the first-career Defensive Player of the Month award for Reddick. He becomes the fourth Eagles linebacker ever to earn the honors, joining Connor Barwin (November 2014), Mark Simoneau (October 2003), and Jeremiah Trotter (December 2000). Reddick becomes the second player from Temple to win a Player of the Month award, joining kicker Brandon McManus, who was named the Special Teams Player of the Month in October 2015.
Reddick was by far the best pass rusher on the team this season. Of course, everyone was great for the most part, but the difference between last year's teams and this one is huge, because of the free-agent acquisition of Reddick.
For him to have had the seasons he has had the last three years, and never get the Defensive Player of the Month Award is crazy. This guy has 39 sacks over his last three seasons with 16 this season.
He is more than deserving of this monthly award and he should have won it before.
