After Super Bowl Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to lose offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to the New Orleans Saints' vacant head coach position.
If Moore does leave for New Orleans, that would mean Hurts would be looking at playing under his fourth offensive coordinator, and overall sixth offensive play-caller in six NFL seasons.
How does Hurts feel about that?
"Ask me a week or so from now," Hurts said with a laugh while speaking to the media during Super Bowl week.
The silver lining is that if anyone can adjust to a new offense, it's Hurts, and he can do it really well.
Before entering the NFL, Hurts had 11 play-callers in nine collegiate seasons.
While that number is well above the norm for a quarterback, Hurts has made the most of constant change all while staying consistent.
"He's brought different ideas. He's brought a different approach," Hurts said of Moore. "My whole vantage point has always been to learn as much as I can. I've had different coordinators, and different voices almost every year of my career. So my whole approach has been to just to learn as much as I can and take those different things in and apply them to my game and find ways to win."
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Moore would more than triple his current salary if he took the Saints' head coach job. Hurts, of course, would be happy for him.
But for now, everyone in Philly is focused on beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9.
"I think he'll be great whatever happens," Hurts said. "He's great. I'll say this: He's learned a lot over the course of his career. He has a very unique way of seeing the game, having played the quarterback position. I know his name has been around for a very long time, so if that is to happen, it's to happen. But I know his focus is purely on winning this game."
