The Philadelphia Eagles will be without A.J. Brown on Monday night when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

That means more targets for backup wide receiver Quez Watkins and he's ready for them.

Watkins was asked about his expected larger role with Brown out and he flashed back to last week's text exchange with quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Hurts had texted Watkins ahead of Week 18's regular-season finale against the New York Giants once they found out that DeVonta Smith wouldn't be available due to an ankle injury.

“When that phone rings, be ready to answer,” Hurts texted.

Watkins responded, “S–t, I’ve been ready.”

And Watkins was as he logged his best game of the season, catching eight passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Unfortunately, his touchdown came a little too late and the Eagles lost embarrassingly 27-10.

Watkins will try to get open often and earlier against the Bucs. The Eagles will also heavily rely on Smith, who returns for this matchup, tight end Dallas Goedert and running back D'Andre Swift.

If the Eagles win, they'll advance to the next round of the playoffs and face the Detroit Lions on the road next Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.
