Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Jared Verse are currently in a head-to-head race for the NFL's 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

Verse currently leads as the betting favorite with -115 odds to win the award while Mitchell is not too far behind him at +260, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

However, after the Eagles' 37-20 win over the Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday night, it's clear who the new favorite should be.

Mitchell allowed just three catches for 26 yards and zero touchdowns against Rams receivers, per PFF.

The Eagles' 2024 first-round pick has now allowed less than 30 yards through the team's seven straight wins.

As for Verse, he finished the night with seven total tackles and no sacks.

Mitchell has been so impressive this season by not allowing a single touchdown through 11 games all while locking down star receivers across the league such as Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, Ja’Marr Chase, and others.

He's even earned the nickname "Quintonimo/Quinyonimo Bay" from Philly fans.

While the prestigious DROY award might sound cool considering no Eagles player has ever won it, Mitchell has just one thing on his mind.

“I’ve seen it but my main goal is just to go win every week,” Mitchell said of the DROY award. “With team success comes individual success. I’m just focused on doing my job and going 1-0 every week.”
