The Philadelphia Eagles will not only be with their No. 2 receiver DeVonta Smith when they take the field against the New York Giants on Sunday but they're also expected to be without top running back D'Andre Swift.

Swift practiced Wednesday and Thursday before popping up on Friday's injury report as a limited participant and questionable to play against the Giants due to an illness.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is now reporting that Swift is "not expected" to play.

We'll know the Eagles' final decision when they release their inactives list 90 minutes out from kickoff.

If Swift doesn't play, the Birds will turn to backups Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and Rashaad Penny.

The Eagles still have a shot at clinching the NFC East and No. 2 seed with a win over New York and a Dallas Cowboys loss to the Washington Commanders.

If the Eagles lose, they land the fifth seed in Round 1 of the NFL playoffs.

And if the Eagles win and Dallas wins, they're still locked into the No. 5 seed.
