One of the Philadelphia Eagles' most recent additions surprisingly retired from the NFL on Sunday morning.
Earlier this month, during training camp, the Eagles signed veteran linebacker Myles Jack to a one-year deal.
After 14 days with the team, Jack informed Philadelphia that he's choosing to retire from the NFL (per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport).
Jack, a former second round draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars, spent the 2022 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The former UCLA standout, who had signed a two year deal with the Steelers, was released in March.
Jack, who will turn 28 in Early September, was mostly going to serve as depth for the Eagles in 2023.
Last season with the Steelers, Jack totaled 104 tackles, including four tackles for loss. Despite the fact that Jack is coming off one of his better NFL seasons, he decided it was time to call it a career.
