The Philadelphia Eagles' last two games have now ended in interceptions — this time in their favor.
Eagles' rookie cornerback Kelee Ringo came up big on Christmas Day with a game-sealing interception against the New York Giants, picking off quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the end zone as time expired.
The perfect pick marked Ringo's first career interception as the Eagles went on the win 33-25 and ended their three-game losing streak.
Ringo has recently seen an increase in playing time since the Eagles are dealing with injuries to their secondary and he hasn't disappointed.
He's played over 100 defensive snaps in the past three weeks and has yet to allow a single catch.
The Eagles drafted Ringo out of Georgia in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Birds are considered to have struck gold with their Ringo pick as the 205-pound corner was projected to go in the first round after running a dazzling 4.40 40-yard dash.
And following his successful defensive snap increase, there's even more reason to believe Ringo is a goldmine.
With their Week 16 win, the Eagles move to 11-4 and are first in the NFC East and in control of the No. 2 seed as they inch closer to the playoffs.
