The Philadelphia Eagles added defensive end Derek Barnett to their final injury report on Sunday.
While Barnett is not dealing with an injury, the team downgraded him to "out" for personal reasons against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.
This week marks the second straight game that the veteran edge rusher has missed. He was a healthy scratch against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.
Barnett's absence isn't a huge loss for the Eagles, considering the Eagles are stacked at the position and the fact that he's played minimal snaps over the first half of the season. Through eight games so far, he’s made just three total tackles and one tackle for loss while playing 20 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps and just 23 percent of the snaps on special teams.
The Eagles will likely turn to rookie Nolan Smith to step up in Barnett's place behind Brandon Graham, Josh Sweat and Haason Reddick.
