Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley continues to prove week-to-week that he was worth the big payday back in March.

In Week 9's 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Barkley rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown and hauled in three passes for 40 yards and another score.

Barkley also made an insane play that will go down as one of the best in NFL history after he jumped backward over a Jaguars defender for a first down.

It was a play that turned many heads and left his teammates and head coach Nick Sirianni speechless.

"It was the best play I’ve ever seen," Sirianni said of Barkley. " … Saquon’s play, what I think is so cool, is there are going to be kids all over the country and all over Philadelphia — I really think about that — trying to make that play and talking about that play and simulating that play as they play backyard football or Pee Wee Football. They aren’t going to be able to make it because I think he’s the only one in the world that can do that.

"I’m speechless. It was unbelievable, and the way the crowd — when I looked up, like I thought I saw what I saw. As a coach you’re looking at the line sometimes, looking at the secondary, looking at the defense. And so, I thought I saw it, but when I looked up at the big screen and the crowd reacted to it, it was unbelievable."

Barkley's incredible performance in the victory earned him a third NFC Offensive Player of the Week award this season.

In eight games, Barkley has 925 yards with six touchdowns on the ground along with 146 yards with two touchdowns in the air. He is currently averaging 5.9 yards per carry which looks a lot different from the 3.9 YPC he had in 2023 during his final season with the New York Giants.

Barkley's other Offensive Player of the Week awards came in Week 1's win over the Green Bay Packers and Week 7's against his former team.
