The Philadelphia Eagles not only reported to NFL training camp on Tuesday, but they also signed a quality depth piece.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the team had signed veteran defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo.

Okoronkwo 6-foot-2 and 250 pound was originally a fifth-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams back in 2018 following an outstanding career with the Oklahoma Sooners.

After wrapping up his rookie deal in LA, Okoronkwo had a one-year stint with the Houston Texans for the 2022 season. He then played the last two years with the Cleveland Browns and was released in June.

Entering his eight season, Okoronkwo has racked up 17 career sacks so far, with 7.5 them coming from his most recent stint with Cleveland.

Okoronkwo may be 30-years-old but he is a quality backup piece, especially for a defensive line on the younger side.

Adding Quality Depth is One Key Part of the Eagles' Sustaining Success

"Sustained success" has been the Eagles' offseason motto as they look to make a back-to-back Super Bowl run.

“I focused on sustained success,” Sirianni said. “What were the common denominators of different coaches that I talked to or players that I talked to, or [Olympian] Michael Johnson…what were the common denominators of sustained success?”

"The main thing is it takes what it takes, right? You’re going to have to be able to work extremely hard and you’re going to have to be able to overcome adversity. You always have to be right in the moment of where you are. As I’ve done research and talked to these guys and we’ve had an element of sustained success here as well, but you can have two ends of it. You rest on your laurels, you rest on your past accomplishments and you’re not here working or you’re looking too far ahead of how do we do this again."

There's a lot that plays into longterm success and stacking their roster depth is just one of them.
