The Philadelphia Eagles have a few rookies that you can tell still have a lot to learn. But, one new veteran in Ndamukong Suh is teaching one of the rookies some valuable lessons.
If you watched college football last year, you probably loved Jordan Davis. He is huge, and frankly there weren't many better than him at his job in college.
The former Georgia defensive tackle is currently returning from the injury he suffered just a few weeks ago. But, while he wasn't playing, he was learning from some of the veterans, like Suh, who just joined the team last week.
Suh has been in this game for quite some time now, and he has played at the highest level. Suh has seen a lot of success in this league, so it was only fair he shared some valuable knowledge with Davis.
"Bitcoin," Davis saidwhen asked what the older guys have taught him. "Suh taught me Bitcoin today. He taught me what's the purpose of it. It's pretty interesting. Bitcoin and NFTs. It's pretty interesting stuff. …I don't know all the intricate details as he does, but I know enough.
"I'm like, 'alright, I don't know if I want to buy an NFT right now.' …Just stuff like that, little things like that, and how to handle yourself. Those guys are teammates you admire growing up."
That may not be what fans want him to learn, but I think the message to come away with this is that the rookie is getting advice outside of just football.
Sure, we would love to see Davis implement some of the stuff Suh does and has done throughout his career. But, on the other hand, Davis sees Suh every day now, and can easily learn by watching.
The other valuable stuff that doesn't have to do with football, he can't necessarily watch from afar.
I'm not by any means saying I agree or disagree with what Suh is doing. However, these young guys need someone to teach them about the financial stuff.
They are getting a lot of money, more money than they have probably ever had, almost out of nowhere. So, he does need someone to help him make wise decisions, and that's what Suh thinks is wise.
