The Philadelphia Eagles have until 4 p.m. ET this Tuesday evening to make a trade.

Unlike last fall, there have been zero rumors linking the Birds to potential trades, however, ESPN's Dan Graziano still considers them an "interesting team to watch":

"The Chiefs and Lions are interesting due to their positions atop their respective conferences. But outside of that duo, the Eagles are always a team to watch when it’s trading time, and they could still use some help on defense."

Why the Eagles Won't Make a Trade

The Eagles are 6-2 heading into Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys and their defense has been clicking since coming out of their Week 5 bye, so there might not be a need there after all.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio even told reporters last week that he doesn't think the Eagles need to waste draft picks on a temporary fix in the middle of the season.

"It’s hard to improve your team drastically this time of year," Fangio said. "I think if you look at some of those trades over the years, they really haven’t had the effect some teams were hoping for. … Unless it’s a trade where you’re getting a guy that you’re going to have for a few years so it’s more of a bigger trade than swapping guys, trading a sixth for a seventh, those type things."

One could point to the Eagles' midseason trade with the Tennessee Titans for 30-year-old safety Kevin Byard last year as an example that did nothing to bolster their roster.

Why the Eagles Could Make a Trade

While the Eagles might not be shopping for players, they could be looking to be sellers.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is always working the phones.

But exactly who they could be looking to "sell" is the big question.

NFL Network's insider Tom Pelissero mentioned on "The Rich Eisen Show" that defensive end Bryce Huff could be a player the Eagles might be shopping with.

“There’s certainly going to be interest in guys like Bryce Huff, who was one of the Eagles’ big free agent signings, played all of six snaps yesterday after apparently getting his hand banged up in warmups or something," Pelissero said. "That’s a name that I think is going to get some potential action.”

We'll see what happens soon as the NFL trade deadline continues to sneak up.
