Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is cooking something up.
According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the Eagles have been "shopping both Josh Sweat and Haasan Riddick for the last few weeks."
With Philly set to trade two of their top edge rushers, Russini expects the Eagles to "aggressively pursue Bryce Huff" in NFL free agency to balance out their losses.
Huff, a former undrafted free agent in 2020, proved doubters wrong in 2023 and led the New York Jets defense with 10 sacks, one pass breakup, 29 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 21 quarterback hits in 17 games.
The Jets opted not to use the franchise tag on Huff last week, giving him the freedom to test the open market.
According to A to Z Sports' contract experts, Huff's 113 pressures and 15.5 sacks over the past three seasons compare to New Orleans Saints' Trey Hendrickson before he inked a hefty deal with the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Huff will get a chance to become a full-time player with a deal that eclipses $50 million due to his 16.39 percent pressure rate in addition to his overall contributions to one of the best defenses in the NFL," – A to Z Sports' Kyle DeDiminicantanio and Josh Queipo
The Eagles can officially begin negotiating a deal with Huff when the legal tampering period of NFL free agency kicks off at noon ET on Monday, March 11.
