The Philadelphia Eagles are doing their homework in the trenches ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. 

According to PHLY's Zach Berman, the Eagles hosted Iowa State offensive lineman Jalen Travis last week for a Top 30 visit. 

"Hearing that Iowa State OL Jalen Travis is in town visiting the Eagles today. Eagles taking a deep look at the offensive tackles in this class," Berman wrote on X. 

Travis, 6-foot-8 and 340 pounds, spent four years at Princeton, where he was a two-time All-Ivy selection, before transferring to Iowa State for his final year of eligibility. 

The Cyclones product has had a smooth pre-draft process and was highly touted as a winner at the NFL combine after running a 5.14 40-yard dash time with a 1.80 10-yard split. Travis also logged the second-highest vertical jump among offensive linemen at 35 inches and recorded a broad jump of 9'4", which tied for fourth best among his position group. He finished the combine with 26 reps on the bench press, best for seventh among offensive linemen.

Travis has started at both left and right tackle and has the skills to develop into a reliable swing tackle at the next level, which would be perfect for Philly after they lost Fred Johnson to NFL free agency.

Iowa State Cyclones offensive tackle Jalen Travis projects as a developmental tackle to the NFL level. Travis played one year at Iowa State after securing his undergraduate degree while playing at Princeton and showcased NFL-caliber strength and length on the edge.

His technical development, particularly with his hand usage, will be key in unlocking his potential. He has starter traits, although he is a bit less dynamic and forceful in the run game than you’d expect when you see his profile up close and in person. Travis would greatly benefit from finding more engagement in his lower half to sustain push and momentum to create displacement at the point of attack. 

Travis is a projected Day 3 pick, but given that this year's draft class doesn't have many explosive OT's to choose from, he could go on Day 2.
