The Philadelphia Eagles put on quite a show in primetime at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday Night against the Washington Commanders.

Despite the quick turnaround, Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Birds were able to pull off an exciting 26-18 victory over the Commanders.

"It was a good win," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said after the game. "Any time you can get a win in this league it’s huge. That’s a good opponent. So much respect for the coaches on that opposite team and the players on that Washington team. Again, so much respect for [Commanders Head] Coach [Dan] Quinn. He’s done an unbelievable job. We knew we had to be on it today. Played a good opponent on a short week. It was big to get a win."

The Eagles entered the matchup ranked No. 1 in the NFC East with just a slight lead over the Commanders but now they are 1.5 games ahead of them.

The Eagles' chances to make the NFL playoffs also jumped from 93% to 98%. They currently have a 65% chance to win the division, a 19% chance for a first-round bye, and a 9% chance to win the Super Bowl.

For the most part, Philly's schedule the rest of the way should be smooth sailing, but they'll still need to face the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) and Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2). They also have a rematch against Washington in Week 16.

As for their next matchup in Week 13 after a mini bye, the Eagles head to Los Angeles to take on the 4-5 Rams which should be an easy road win.
