The Philadelphia Eagles are doing their homework on prospects they're interested in ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
As the Eagles continue to look to stack their offensive line depth this offseason, they are using one of their Top 30 visits on NC State offensive lineman Anthony Belton.
Belton won't visit the Eagles until April at some point but he revealed how familiar he is with the team during a press conference at the NFL Combine in February.
"I'm very familiar," Belton said of Eagles' Lane Johnson and Jordan Malaita. "We watch a lot with coach TJ, he's big on trying to watch tape learning from the best. So I've always watched their tape and just seeing how different things are when it comes to passing (protection). And like a lot of Lane Johnson, a lot of his run tail and his stance. So just trying to see what they do and try to implement it in their game."
Belton also spoke on the respect he has for Howie Roseman's healthy obsession with stacking the trenches.
"I like it, man, it all starts up front," he said. "Trench work, man. It all starts up front. You gotta get your trench right to protect the guys that matter in the back."
Belcton, 6-foot-6 and 336 pounds, spent a majority of his college career at left tackle but could also play right tackle or guard.
Before entering the draft, Belton appeared in all 12 games, starting 11 of them at left tackle, logging 741 total snaps in 2024. He allowed just 12 quarterback pressures, including three sacks.
The Eagles are hurting at right tackle after losing Mekhi Becton in NFL free agency, but knowing what Philly's o-line coach Jeff Stoutland is capable of doing with big and versatile linemen, Belton could be the perfect replacement.
Belton was considered a Day 3 pick, but after a solid pre-draft performance at the Reese's Senior Bowl and NFL Combine, he may have made himself a Day 2 lock selection. That doesn't mean he won't fall later on the draft board, and if he does, then he would be a jackpot pick for the Eagles.
