The Philadelphia Eagles (12-3) are dealing with injuries to both starting quarterback Jalen Hurts and backup Kenny Pickett as they get ready to take on the Dallas Cowboys (7-8) in Week 17.

Hurts did not practice on Wednesday due to his concussion while Pickett was limited with a ribs injury.

Linebacker Nakobe Dean (abdomen) was the only other starter who did not practice due to an injury.

The Eagles rested a majority of their starters, including running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver A.J. Brown, on Wednesday.

Defensive end Bryce Huff (wrist) and wide receiver Britain Covey (neck) were listed on the injury report but were both full participants on Wednesday.

Eagles Week 16 Injury Report Observations

  • Nick Sirianni has discussed resting his key players when they need it in order to keep them ready to go for their playoff run, which is why several players kicked off the week sidelined.
  • Quarterback Jalen Hurts injured his non-throwing hand in Week 14's win over the Carolina Panthers but has not missed practice because of that.
  • Hurts' concussion happened in Week 16's loss to the Washington Commanders. Head coach Nick Sirianni wouldn't rule him out yet but he will need to pass through concussion protocol.
  • Kenny Pickett was injured in Week 16 but finished the game. It's a good sign he was limited rather than a non-participant.
  • Wide receiver Britain Covey has now missed the last four games with a neck injury, despite practicing during the week. Rookie Cooper DeJean has done a good job stepping in for him on punt return.
  • The Eagles must activate Bryce Huff off Injured Reserve in order for him to return to action. He is still wearing a cast on his left hand.
