There has never been a wide receiver to win the NFL's MVP award.

However, Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown is making a solid case to win the honor.

It's just midway through the season and the fifth-year receiver has 67 receptions for 1,005 yards. He's on pace for 1,995 yards, which would shatter the Eagles' current franchise record of 1,496 receiving yards that he set last season.

He's logged 125-plus yards through six straight games, becoming the first player in league history to ever do that.

The current sportsbook odds at Fanduel have Brown at +13000. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is way ahead of him at +5000.

Hill has 69 receptions for 1,076 receiving yards. The Dolphins are 6-2 on the season so far.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is currently favored to win MVP at +240 while Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is not too far behind him at +320.

The 8-1 Eagles are on a bye week and then they face the 6-2 Chiefs in Week 11 at Arrowhead Stadium.

If the Eagles win, then these odds will change drastically, especially for Brown if he can keep up his insane streak.

Sure, Hurts it's another player who deserves to be in the MVP conversation, but it's no fun when quarterbacks always win. I think it's time for voters to really look outside the box on this.

Brown is an exceptional playmaker and some of the catches he's made this season have looked impossible, and in some cases, those catches have bailed out Hurts.

We'll check back in after the Eagles and Chiefs re-live Super Bowl LVII on Nov. 20.
