There's a significant amount of hype surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles entering the 2022 season.

And for good reason — they look like the biggest threat to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.

Philly has a solid defense, a dynamic quarterback, and a couple of elite playmakers at wide receiver in DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown.

If everything goes right, it could easily be the Eagles standing at the top of the NFC East when it's all said and done this season.

Brown, the Eagles' big offseason addition (acquired via a trade with the Tennessee Titans), will be a key ingredient to Philadelphia's success in 2022.

Hurts and Brown have a great off-the-field relationship, so there's a lot of optimism that the connection between the duo will be elite this season. If that's the case, then I think Philly wins the division walking away (the Dallas offense got weaker this offseason thanks to sending Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns).

ESPN, however, attempted to temper expectations recently by pointing out one major thing that could wrong for the Eagles this season.

Essentially, they're concerned that Brown could battle injuries again in 2022. They also wonder if the connection between Hurts and Brown will live up to the hype.

From ESPN:

Brown has dealt with multiple injuries over his first three seasons in the league, including calf, hamstring, chest and knee injuries in 2021 that cost him four games. Philadelphia gave Brown a four-year, $100 million extension after acquiring him in April and needs him to stay relatively healthy in order for that to be viewed as a sound investment.

There's no doubt that this is a concern — Brown battled injuries last season and it forced him to miss action and lowered his production. He's still young so it's too early to label the former Ole Miss star as "injury prone", but it's certainly something to monitor.

However, I don't think Eagles fans should be too concerned about Brown and his injuries until it becomes an issue in Philly.

If he starts to miss significant practice time during the season and has to sit out a few games, then it'll be time to be worried about Brown's ability to stay healthy.

Until then, fans should just enjoy having a couple of elite wide receivers on the Eagles' roster.
