It appears former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles may have moved on from football and onto pickleball.
The former Super Bowl MVP is already making his name well-known through the up-and-coming sport.
Just this past weekend in San Clemente, California, Foles competed alongside his wife, Tori, and friend, Jim Davenport, in the PAA Finals' 3.0 mixed doubles and men’s doubles.
He took home gold medals in both categories.
Of course, Foles has brought some of his football traits to the pickleball court, including his ability to not dwell on mistakes.
“There are plenty of shots where you dink it into the net, and there’s nothing more demoralizing than doing that, but you’ve got to move on and play the next point and just hit the next shot,” Foles said via Pickleball.com. “You get a lot of those plays that you want back, but you have to move forward.”
Foles wasn't the only former NFL player competing on the pickleball courts in Southern Cal. Pro Bowler Golden Tate was spotted playing in the men’s 4.5 doubles division.
Foles' NFL career may have come to an unexpected ending, but you have to be nothing but happy for him knowing that he's found success elsewhere while adjusting to life outside of football.
