Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is one tough cookie.
According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Hurts has been playing through a bone bruise on his left knee for four weeks.
When fans saw him running with a limp in last week's win over the Miami Dolphins, it was because he had taken a helmet to his knee which aggravated it, per Glazer who says the Eagles' QB is fine.
Since sustaining a knee injury, Hurts has practiced every day and hasn't been mentioned on the team's injury reports.
He's also played some of the best football of his career.
In Sunday's 38-31 win over the Washington Commanders, Hurts completed 29 of 36 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns, including one to Julio Jones.
Hurts didn't feel like talking about his knee after the game.
"I'm here," he said when asked for an update.
Hurts barely running the ball himself spoke for itself as he rushed for a low of 7 yards on two attempts, marking the fewest rushing yards he's had in a game in almost two seasons.
Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni couldn't provide an injury update on Hurts either, well, because Hurts hasn't given him one.
"I know he's tough, and I'm not going to always know because he's not going to tell me how he feels because he always wants it on him," Sirianni said post-game. "That's what you want from your quarterback, your leader and he played outstanding."
The Eagles are the only 7-1 team left in the NFL after the Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
The Birds will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 before they have a bye week, where, hopefully, Hurts can take better care of that knee.
“We’re just enjoying the journey,” Hurts said. “Obviously, there’s one stop we’d like to make in the end, but it’s just a journey. You have to really embrace the process of it."
