Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts speaks to the media following 27-13 win over Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15

"So, that's what you wanted to see, huh?" Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said with a slight smirk as he sat down to address the media after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-13 at home on Sunday evening.

What Hurts was referring to is the Eagles' passing game that has been MIA for much of the season and caused a bit of an uproar across the media and fan base heading into this week's matchup.

"Scrutiny is never-ending. It's nothing new. That's something I find the thrill in and I appreciate being told I can't and that we can't. And I know that I lead this team and it takes a lot out of it. It demands a lot of of you and I just want to show up and be the best teammate, and quarterback I can be for the guys on the team."

Hurts finished the statement win proving doubters wrong by completing 25 of 32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. His two touchdown passes went to his No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

While the passing game looked alive and well, the running game didn't go unnoticed either as the Eagles finished with 131 total rushing yards.

The goal is to keep the offense that well-balanced moving forward, though it won't always work out that way.

"When you're able to win in multiple ways… obviously (we are) talented and the opportunities are there but it comes down to having good determination of when to do something and when not to," Hurts said. "I've always said and believed that you want to make sure all of your tools are sharp when you need them so when it's time to use them, you can go. And I don't think there is a doubt in that and I think frankly, there was an effort there. The approach was a little different this week and the grass will be green where you water it. And we decided to water it and we kind of saw the roots of our labor in that.

"Obviously, we've been watering the running game a good bit and it's kind of natural to put an emphasis on one thing and kind of take emphasis off of another and see what you guys have kind of seen. So, we want to continue to push to be well-rounded and water all areas of our yard."

Hurts also admitted that his left finger is broken and it did have an effect on his play, but not even to keep him from leading the Eagles to their 10th straight win.
