Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is wasting no time getting to know his new running back Saquon Barkley.
According to Barkley's official Instagram, the two worked out together over Easter weekend.
After six seasons playing for the New York Giants, Barkley signed a three-year contract worth up to $37.75 million and $26 million guaranteed with the Eagles at the start of NFL free agency last month.
He replaces former Eagles lead running back D'Andre Swift, who found a new home in free agency with the Chicago Bears.
It's great to see Hurts get to work early with one of his new key offensive weapons following the Eagles' devasting collapse in 2023.
The Eagles have also already made it known this offseason that they mean business with their revamped workout program.
April 15 is the first day of voluntary workouts for the Birds and then they'll host six more voluntary practices before they hold their first-ever mandatory minicamp under head coach Nick Sirianni.
And from what it looks like, we can expect to see Hurts and Barkley report to those workouts.
Key Eagles Offseason Dates to Know:
First day: April 15
OTAs: May 20, May 22-23, May 28, May 30-31
Mandatory minicamp: June 4-6
