The 2025 NFL Season got off to quite a start when the Philadelphia Eagles’ star defensive player was ejected before even playing a snap in the season opener.

While the trainers were tending to FB Ben VanSumeren, who immediately went down with a knee injury, defensive tackle Jalen Carter spat in the face of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, with the referees standing right there. As expected, the referees threw their flags.

But to the shock of everyone, Carter was ejected.

And Eagles legend Jason Kelce had the same reaction as the rest of the NFL World.

“What in the fuck just happened?” he wrote.

And to add insult to injury, the Cowboys charged down the field and got the first seven points on the board.
