The New York Jets are giving Zach Wilson another chance at starting quarterback, even after losing Aaron Rodgers to a season-ending injury in Week 1.

In fact, they are in no hurry to move on from Wilson as Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports that the Jets have turned down both veteran quarterbacks Matt Ryan and Carson Wentz.

Ryan, who led the Atlanta Falcons to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016 and spent the 2022 season with the Indianapolis Colts, is currently an NFL analyst at CBS Sports and has not announced his retirement.

Meanwhile, Wentz was benched by the Washington Commanders last fall and has yet to find a new home. Prior to that, Wentz was the Colts starter in 2021 and started for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2016-2020.

The Jets entered Week 3's matchup against the New England Patriots 1-1 and are currently riding with just Wilson and backup Tim Boyle at their quarterback depth.

So far this season, Wilson has completed 54% of his passes for 310 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
